Collaboration between agencies and clients
There are two ways in which an agency can collaborate with their clients in ContentKing:
- Collaboration within the same ContentKing account by inviting new users
- Cross-account collaboration using the Connected Accounts feature
Watch this video to learn how these two collaboration methods work together and how to choose the best method for each client:
Collaboration within one account
In ContentKing you never pay per user. This means that you can have as many users as you want in your account, and you can also assign different user roles with different levels of access.
Although inviting users to your account is primarily designed for collaboration with your colleagues, thanks to the option to limit a user’s access to selected websites only you can also use this method to collaborate with your clients within your agency account.
You can read more about this collaboration method in this dedicated article: Users & Roles.
Collaboration across accounts
In ContentKing you can also connect two separate accounts and collaborate between them directly, using Connected Accounts.
The Connected Accounts feature is primarily designed for collaboration between agencies and clients each of whom have their own, independent ContentKing account.
You can read more about this collaboration method in this dedicated article: Connected Accounts.
When to use Connected Accounts
The Connected Accounts feature allows your clients to have their own, independent ContentKing accounts which you can access from your agency account and manage them.
The main differences between the two methods are summarized in this table:
|Inviting the client as a user within one account||Cross-account collaboration using Connected Accounts|
Collaboration (sharing website data, segments, etc.)
Client has full access rights
Client has separate billing entity
Client has separate subscription configuration (commitment, features)
Client has separate page bundle
Client can manage their own integrations (GA & GSC)
Client has access to the Reporting API & GDS
Benefits for agencies
Direct collaboration with clients made easy
As an agency, you can easily connect your account with your clients’ accounts and directly manage them. This allows you to seamlessly switch between all your client websites and share insights and data across accounts.
On top of that, you can also create new ContentKing trial accounts for your clients directly from your agency account which are already connected.
Separate account configuration
The client account is fully independent:
- The client has their own subscription and billing entity
- The websites in your clients’ accounts don’t take up space in your agency’s Page Bundle
Benefits for clients
